USCIS Joins Digital Age With Credit Card Pilot Program

Posted on by

USCIS has created a pilot program wherein they will start accepting credit card payments for certain applicants. These applicants are:

  1. U nonimmigrants filing Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status; and
  2. Petitioners filing Form I-140, Immigrant Petition for Alien Workers with premium processing or when filing a Form I-907 to upgrade an I-140 petition to premium processing.

The relevant form to make a credit card payment is the G-1450, Authorization for Credit Card Transactions. Currently this pilot program is limited to the Nebraska Service Center. At the end of the pilot program, USCIS will evaluate the results and determine if they want to expand this program as a payment option at the other service centers and for other types of applications.
