USCIS Implements New H-1B Electronic Registration Process
USCIS has announced a new electronic registration process for H-1B visas for fiscal year 2021. The new e-registration now comes with a $10 online processing fee. Employers and Organizations looking to file H-1B petitions must first electronically register and pay the processing fee before filing for the visa.
USCIS is hoping this online registration will help to streamline the process by reducing paperwork.
H-1B applications for fiscal year 2021 will be accepted starting April 1, 2020. The initial registration process will start from 1st March to 20th March 2020. The H-1B lottery may also be based on these electronic registrations. Only those whose registrations are selected would be able to file cap-subject H1B Visa petitions.
As the initial registration period nears, the USCIS will post step-by-step information regarding the registration process on its official website. The website will also have important details regarding the dates and timelines.
