DOJ Seeks Rehearing of Obama Immigration Case
The U.S. Department of Justice has requested that the Supreme Court rehear immigration case over President Obama’s executive actions on immigration, specifically requesting a definitive decision rather than the 4-4 split that was reached in June.
Obama’s blocked initiatives would expand the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program for immigrants who entered the U.S. as children and would create a similar program for certain immigrant parents, known as Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents.
